Riches to Attend National Junior Olympic Workshop
State Commissioner Joey Rich and Junior Olympic (Youth) State Commissioner Kristy Rich will attend the ASA National J.O. Workshop in Oklahoma City on February 3-4. The Missouri ASA State Office will be closed Thursday and Friday, February 2-3.
Ken Kwantes retires from Rolla Parks & Recreation
Southern District Commissioner, Ken Kwantes, retired from the Rolla Parks & Recreation Department on January 1 after 36 years as the department's director. Kwantes will continue to serve Missouri ASA as the Southern District Commissioner as well as the Deputy State Commissioner. His new contact information can be found on the District Contacts page.

MASA STATE CONVENTION
The 26th Annual Missouri ASA Awards Banquet will be held at Seven Springs Winery, Linn Creek, on Saturday, February 18 at 6:00 p.m. The evening includes a Silent Auction and a 50-50 drawing benefitting the Student Scholarship program. Awards to be presented include:

STATE UMPIRE SCHOOL MARCH 10 IN SEDALIA
Missouri ASA will be hosting a State Umpire School on Saturday, March 10 in Sedalia at the Sedalia Parks and Recreation building. MASA State Umpire in Chief, Jack Walker, and several of the Missouri ASA Associate UIC's will be putting the school together. The morning session will be on rules & behavior while the afternoon session will be on field & plate mechanics. The goal to is establish a consistent teaching method to be used statewide by all Missouri ASA umpires. All umpires are welcome, You do not have to be an ASA umpire to attend. The cost is $25.00, which includes the noon meal. Registered ASA umpires will recieve a $5.00 Discount.
